Anyone knows of any app/feature or plugin that would let me post on the forums without having to load the entire forum?? I was thinking in the lines of the email option in wordpress since that is how I update my blog. I Want To Request Support For More File Types On This Site
Mainly AVI and BMP. Today, and other days too, I went to upload a file to a topic response, the file selection box let me select the files I wanted. Upon clicking "upload", the site told me that those files was not "allowed". If they're not allowed/supported, why does the box let me select them? Either allow support for those files, or make the box not to allow me to select those files, please.

Some people don't speak nor type in English in the country they live. So maybe it can be allowed to open topics in their own language.
Is it a possible addition for like a roleplay area? Like topic starters provide the plot, settings and rule guidelines which needs to be adhered to by other members interested in joining their RP thread. Hello, This forum has now become very slow to what it was. I am guessing this is because of the huge database. Well why can't we prune inactive members and get them deleted. Can't We Allow A Change In Display Name?
I got this idea while replying to another topic....can't we change our display names in the forums? I am aware that this feature is available in the IPB package, because I use it frequently on another forum. On that forum, the users are allowed to change their display names thrice a month (not the "username" just the "display" name). Ok, so to briefly describe the inspiration for this topic: I replied to a topic in "Meditation, Pranayam, Yoga" under "Health and Fitness" earlier today and was happily browsing for others to comment on. As thread creators on trap everybody wants that the posts on thier threads are clean and spam free. I am talking about posts like one liners, quoting text which are just above. I found that they are'nt usually deleted considering the huge traffic and posts rate. How about giving moderation powers to thread creators themselves. I know there must be some restrictions to implement it. How about members above 200 posts given moderation power for thier own topics? What do you think would be the o
I have an idea. What if every member of the Trap17 forum were required to post one new relevant,original topic as a thread once a month? It doesn't seem like much to ask. Then maybe we would have more new interesting threads instead of the danger of there always being the same ones. There would be more ideas and more flow. We probably wouldn't have to sift through too many of the same topics trying to find something to say. I think it would be interesting.

At the moment if you do something wrong they increase your warn level. but that doesn't really do anything and doesn't affect the member that has done something wrong. My idea would be to increase post quotas (mainly to discipline spam posts) so they can't post as often. Just an idea though.

I've noticed you have two versions of the forums - one I'm assuming is designed for SE traffic with plenty of ads on it and one is for the members so they can have the nice vibrant forum feel to it. I think that Trap17 should support vB because then a lot of the paying customers from vB would come here. It would get you guys like 1000 more members. Just think there are millions of people that are actaully paying for vBulletin forums. For like 30 dollars a year. And having vB's for free would be the ultimate luxury.
The skin here is default to my knowledge. So it doesn't make it differnt and unique from other forums. I suggest to invest in a skin. Simple as this and easy to look at but differnt hex colors etc. On Zeta boards you can change through differnt themes. I'm not sure about I.P board, but if this is possible you can keep this also and give a selection of themes so people can decide on what there prefer. Also the banner could do with some updating.
